Je regret je ecrire pas en Francais! I have just seen
BOY MEETS GIRL and am surprised at how similar this
film is to it's sequel MAUVAIS SANG! Many scenes in
this film are repeated almost exactly in Mauvais Sang,
the casting almost exact also. Carax is an excellent
director, but has no unique ideas, these two films
are so alike! Because one scene, or two, or three,
works well in a film is not the reason to again repeat
these scenes in the next film a director makes! I am
very disappointed with GIRL MEETS BOY. I thought
MAUVAIS SANG the better film, despite the repeated
scenes.
